Selecting the right dog
for your family

At Time and Patience Dog Training, we know that adding the right dog to your life can give you years of joy and happiness. Unfortunately, choosing the wrong dog for your needs can lead to frustration and heartache, and sometimes leaves no other choice but to surrender the dog for adoption.

We work with individuals and families to help choose the right dog at the right time. Our services include:

• group identification (deciding on a general type of dog based on your lifestyle, activity levels and what you want in a companion)
• breed selection (choosing a specific dog within a group)
• breeder interviews and recommendations
• home preparation before the new dog arrives
• introducing your new dog to existing family pets

Consultations are often conducted by telephone or e-mail,
and are available at an hourly rate of $60.00.

Preparing for Puppy
(or, what you need to know before bringing your puppy home)

Congratulations! You have decided to add a canine companion to your home, and you’re getting ready to pick up your new puppy. Our Preparing for Puppy program can help you make sure you’re ready for all the joys (and challenges) a new puppy can bring.

Our Preparing for Puppy program will be tailored to your family’s needs, but will include:

• puppy proofing your home
• the pros and cons of crate training
• how to supervise your puppy
• the benefits of doggy daycare
• all the equipment you’ll need,
• and of course, house training.

Preparing for Puppy is offered as a private, in-home session, and we strongly encourage everyone in the household to attend. The sessions lasts approximately 45 minutes, and the cost is $65 plus GST.
