Who We Are

Fotini Fokidis
Senior Trainer

Fotini (Fo) is a senior trainer at Time and Patience Dog Training, running group classes and private lessons. She was the driving force behind our tough Advanced Companion class.

Fo has been training dogs professionally for more than five years, and came into the profession after studying and apprenticing under a comprehensive program created by leaders in the dog training industry. Known as a "tough but fair" trainer, Fo holds her students to high standards, expecting a lot of dogs and their owners. This reputation has earned her a significant following; with many of her former clients staying in touch for years after their class has graduated.

Fo is a board-certified teacher, with a Bachelor of Education, which makes her skilled at reaching dog owners, especially children. Her philosophy is to involve the entire family in dog training, to give everyone the opportunity to have a successful, safe relationship with their pet dog.

As with all trainers at Time and Patience Dog Training, Fotini is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP), and she attends ongoing continuing education programs to broaden her skills as a dog trainer. She is currently working towards the IACP certification of "Professional Dog Training Instructor," and will be one of the first trainers in Canada to achieve the title.

After losing her dog in 2006 at the age of 18 years, Fo is currently "between pets," but is planning, along with her fiancé, Marc, to welcome a new dog into her life shortly.
